About Nice Spice
Nice Spice is a small, independent Indian take-away based in Havant, Hampshire. We opened to serve the local community honest, freshly-cooked food using familiar regional recipes — North-Indian classics alongside a few South-Indian and Punjabi dishes — without gimmicks, hidden charges or loud marketing.
Our story
Nice Spice Limited was incorporated in England and Wales in April 2026 to operate the take-away at 30 Market Parade, Havant (PO9 1QF). We are a family-run business: a head chef with more than fifteen years of restaurant experience in the South-East of England, and a small team that handles front-of-house and home preparation.
The reason for opening here is simple: Havant is a town that has changed a lot in the last decade and there is real demand for quality, freshly-prepared food at a fair price. Our menu is deliberately short so that every dish gets the attention it deserves.
What we do — and what we don't
- We cook every dish to order. Nothing is reheated from a buffet tray.
- We use halal meat from a verified UK supplier and fresh produce from local Hampshire wholesalers wherever practical.
- We publish a complete allergen matrix for every menu item, in line with UK food information regulations and Natasha's Law.
- We keep our menu short — that means consistency.
- We do not serve alcohol.
- We do not run aggressive promotions, fake "limited time" offers or misleading discount claims.
Kitchen and food safety
We follow Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) procedures issued by the Food Standards Agency. Our team holds Level 2 Food Safety in Catering certificates, and a designated person on each shift holds the Level 3 award. The premises is registered with Havant Borough Council as a food business and is subject to inspection under the national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme; the most recent rating, once issued, will be displayed in store and on this website.
